A book I can’t wait to tell everyone about

I just finished a book that I really loved.  Main character is a cranky book seller on an island who – at the beginning of the story – is deep in grief over the death of his wife.   It is The Storied Life of A. J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin.

Compared to The Guernsey Literary and Potato Pie Society and The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fryit is a lovely book full of the joy of reading and the opportunity for second chances.  The book is worth reading just for the chapter introducing “reviews” by AJF.

  1. The Storied Life of AJ Vikry is quite charming.

I am just finished 2 books that I really enjoyed:

*The hotel on Place Vendôme : life, death, and betrayal at the Hôtel Ritz in Paris / Tilar J. Mazzeo. (WW II non-fiction)
*Love and treasure : a novel / Ayelet Waldman. (WW II)

  2. Hi! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this site?

I’m getting sick and tired of WordPress because I’ve had problems with hackers and I’m
looking at options for another platform. I would be great if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.

  3. Wish I could help but this is word press and I only do the blog to support our library group so I have no experience with others. No problem with hackers but I don’t do much to publicize this blog since it is really just for our local people so it is probably under everyone’s radar.

  4. Heya this is somewhat of off topic but I was wanting
to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML.

I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding know-how so I
wanted to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!
